Active holidays: discover Brunico and the surrounding area now

At walking distance to the Brunico old town, a visit to this beautiful little town is a must: The Stadtgasse with its gables, bay windows, colourful façades and paintings invites you to a cosy stroll. And in the restaurants, cafes and ice cream shops you can indulge in culinary delights: from traditional South Tyrolean to southern Mediterranean.

Pure culture and magnificent view: Brunico Castle is located on an easily accessible hill above Stadtgasse and offers a breathtaking view. One of the six “Messner Mountain Museums” is located within the castle MMM Ripa – it is dedicated to hill tribes from all over the world and to tourism. 

Browse, taste and enjoy – you can’t do that anywhere better than at a market. On Fridays the weekly farmers market is held at the Graben in Brunico. With local direct marketeers, it offers a large selection of fresh and seasonal products from the region. You only have the opportunity once a year, at the end of October to visit the historically largest market in Tyrol, the  Stegen market, which is well-known and has new curiosities. A classic in the (pre-) Christmas season: the Christmas market at the Graben in Brunico. The enchanting charm of the small huts and the scent of baked goods and mulled wine make you want to celebrate the festive season.

Off into the countryside – thanks to the ideal location of the parking area, the motorhome can stay where you are, you can continue by bike or train. By train or bus, the Plan de Corones, known as South Tyrol’s No. 1 ski mountain can be reached effortlessly. Also worth visiting in summer: Hiking, mountaineering, climbing and mountain biking are particularly popular activities in the Plan de Corones holiday region. The varied landscape offers every active holidaymaker the right experience – from comfortable to sophisticated. And in winter? The 2,275 m high Plan de Corones can be explored on skis, with  snowshoes or with a toboggan.

Of course there are many other mountains and peaks in the area that are just waiting to be explored – there are no limits to your thirst for adventure. For relaxation afterwards, why not go to the nearby Cron4 indoor pool in Riscone with sauna area and massage offer.
